Vic Paulson Memorial Scholarship
The Hawaii Island Landscape Association has historically made two annual $1,000 dollar scholarships available.

Eligibility Requirements: Must be a Hawaii resident. Must be enrolled in their senior year at any high school on the Island of Hawaii or currently enrolled or planning to enroll in any college or university, or any institution of higher learning in a program of horticulture, landscaping, environmental planning or agriculture (The Green Industry).
Matthew J. Labasan, a 2022 Vic Paulson Scholarship Award recipient.
Matthew is a 2022 graduate of Waiakea High School in Hilo. He will attend the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and will major in Environmental Engineering.
Cyrus K. Ching, a 2022 Vic Paulson Scholarship Award recipient.
Cyrus K. Ching is a 2022 graduate of Kealakehe High School. He will attend Western Washington University in Bellingham with plans to major in Environmental Science.
HILA typically grants two annual awards of $1000 each. In 2022 we had two great applicants accepted, Mathew J. Labasan from Waiakoa High School in Hilo and Cyrus K. Ching from Kealakekua High School in Kailua-Kona
