Annual Conference

The Hawaii Island Landscape Association board of directors is pleased to announce the 8th successful conference for HILA members and the community at the beautiful Hapuna Beach Hotel.  We will be posting photos of the conference shortly for your enjoyment.  The theme of 2019’s conference was the Green Industry – the Business of Landscape.

The next annual conference will be in 2021.  Hawaii Island Landscape Association offers several opportunities for members and the community to earn LICT Continuing Education Units (CEUs).  Please visit the “Training” page to get more information.

Since its inception in 2010, HILA, in conjunction with the University of Hawaii Cooperative Extension Service, presents an annual conference and trade show at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel on the Kohala Coast. This one-day educational event is the premier annual conference for all members of the Big Island green industry:  landscape architects, designers, nursery growers, retailers, contractors, maintenance personnel, arborists, suppliers and educators.  The Trade Show features the latest products and services offered by numerous landscape vendors in Hawaii. Speakers include local experts from the golf course, nursery and landscape industry, as well as the University of Hawaii. The conference provides an opportunity to earn valuable Continuing Education Units (CEU) for:

  • HILA Certified Landscape Technicians
  • ISA Certified Arborists
  • HDOA Pest Applicators
