There will be a short presentation to share the history of the area and a short discussion on heritage plants that are piko to the land and revered by the people of older times in Kona. We are planning some
music and a drawing for some native plants that will be offered throughout the event. Beverages and
Pupu will be provided.
We look forward to hosting this community event and hope you can make time to meet the HILA board
and share your thoughts on what topics are of interest to you and the landscape industry.

Directions: Take the turn off of Queen Ka’ahumanu Highway at the Four Seasons Hualalai resort and
make the first right and drive past the old Kona Village resort until you come to the Ka’upulehu security
guardhouse. The staff will direct you to the interpretive center from there.
