The Hawaii Island Landscape Association board of directors is very excited to announce the opening of the registration period for the upcoming 8th Landscape Management Conference scheduled for Friday, October 25 at the Hapuna Beach Hotel.
The theme this year is Growing the Green Industry – the Business of Landscape. There will be two tracks of seminars: one on landscape management & design topics, and one on landscape business development.
LICT Program will continue with classes and field tests as usual in 2020
NALP (National Association of Landscape Professionals) has announced that the LICT-Exterior Test will end as of December 30, 2019 and be replaced by a written-only exam that will be taken on a computer. HILA will continue to offer Landscape Maintenance Training (LMT) classes with a stronger hands-on component with a Certificate of Completion for those who show competency for the hands-on part of the classes which will be based on the exterior test problems from the current exterior test.
